On Saturday, October 11, 2014, I met with Charles Lewis at South Oaks Aerodrome (05N) to join him on a “poker run” organized by the EAA Chapter 960, in Farmville, NC.

We hopped on the CTLS and headed to Flanagan Field (N08). We were a bit early so Charles let me practice some soft-field touch-and-goes. This was my very first time flying on the CTLS!

When we made the full-stop we met with our friends that were already on the field. Not too many of us came to participate so we changed plans a little. Instead of going to multiple airports, we draw cards at N08 and headed to Grantham-Cox Airfield (6NC0) to attend to the 2014 Grantham Fly-In and taste the delicious pig pickin’. There we draw cards again and checked for the best hand.

This video shows the approach to Grantham and a few pictures taken from the airplane and on the field.
